torture....

pain....

what more could i ask for right?

too bad the live band, saberteeth, did not perform their tribute to goblin...would have been too good to be true. however, seeing the film, in the theater, with all the cracks and pops of the original print and the crazy ass sound quality that made the already rediculously and beautifully offensive music even less palatible was, in my opinion, breathtaking. the music screeched in my ears and evoked something so primal in my body...like i needed to run screaming from the theater. not from the displays of heads full of maggots or bodies twisting in barbed wire but due to the actual pain it was putting me through. it all seemed so fitting. the stunning visuals, which were produced with very little crew, overpowered the silliness that came with poor writing and choppy editing (which i sometimes thought was intentional). it was just brilliant to see this in the theater...a complete body and mind encompassing act...(even though i spent many a moment giggling to myself).
